2023 FAI F5J World Championship for Electric Powered Thermal Duration Gliders, seniors and juniors will be organised by the Bulgarian Aeromodelling Federation and Modelclub Ikar from 13-19 August 2023, Dupnitsa, Bulgaria.

Location

Field near Dupnitsa town – 64 km south of Sofia , 42°17’48.62″N 23° 9’29.69″E

Transport

You can reach Dupnitsa:

  • by car (highway from Sofia 65 km, 120 from Greece border);
  • by train from Belgrade, Istanbul; Bucharest to Sofia then to Dupnitsa. Dupnitsa is on the railway from Sofia to Athens.
  • by bus from Sofia central bus station – every hour.
  • by air to Sofia International Airport, then by car to Dupnitsa.

Visa Requirements

Accommodation:
– Two stars hotel in double room per person: City center, shower, WC, breakfast, WiFi

– Three stars hotel in double room per person:

Camping: A camping with electricity, water, showers and toilet facilities is available 12 km from flying field – prices will be available at February 2023 and published on www.F5JBulgaria.com.
